As a boy growing up in the quarter of Cordoba, one day Maltese discovered that he had no fate line on his palm. Therefore he carved his own fate line with a razor, determining that his fate was his to choose.
After that, he wandered through more ports than any other adventurer and fulfilled the destiny and dreams he had chosen.
